Membership of AACUHO can be either on an individual or an institutional basis. Whilst most of its members are current practitioners in the residence field, there are some members from industries that supply goods and services in this area. Another emerging group of members are those from private providers of student accommodation.
Positions currently held by members in the Association include: Heads of College (e.g. Principals, Directors, Masters, Wardens etc); Deputy Heads, Deans; Business and Finance Managers; Operational Managers; Finance Officers; Project Managers, Administrative Staff, Conference Managers and Residential Staff (Tutors, Resident Advisors etc.).
As with any industry, ongoing liaison with peers from other like institutions will always contribute ideas and help in keeping up to date with the latest developments and innovations.
Networks set up become a vast resource of ideas and a great problem solving asset which can only benefit a member’s home institution, and can be called on at any time.
Not only do members get to learn from others, they also get the opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to the evolution of the industry, by putting their ideas forward at various forums.
Membership period commences 1 July to 30 June annually.
Attendance at the annual conference gives the opportunity to speak to and learn from leaders in the field.
AACUHO has had a short but exciting history of progress and significant achievement. It looks forward to an equally exciting and achieving future.
It invites all who are in any way involved in post-secondary student residence to join it in the future.
