Returns and Refunds
The only purchases available on this site currently are for Australasian Association of College and University Housing Officers Inc. (AACUHO) membership subscriptions or for registration for events run by AACUHO. Australasian Association of College and University Housing Officers Inc. memberships are paid annually for the membership year ending June 30. Any memberships paid after the renewal period, will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
AACUHO reserves the right to refuse/cancel a membership in AACUHO. If AACUHO refuses a new or renewing membership, registrants will be offered a refund via the payee’s bank account.
Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. The exception being with Institutional memberships, where the staff member has left the employ of the Institutional member and a new person has been appointed to the role. This new staff member will then replace the previous member. Where the role has been made redundant, a new role/member may be nominated in their place.
Naturally, we want all members to be satisfied with our organisation and stand proudly behind what is offered. If you find you are dissatisfied with what you find here, please email email@example.com with your specific comments. We will not change our refund policy, but it may be possible that we can implement changes in the network or point you in the right direction in such a way that you will.
AACUHO Event Refund/Cancellation Policy
Event Cancellation by AACUHO
The Australasian Association of College and University Housing Offices Inc. (AACUHO) reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrolment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If this occurs, registration fees paid will be refunded in full, but the Association bears no responsibility for any other costs incurred (such as flights, accommodation, travel expenses or loss of income).
Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.
Registration Cancellation by Participant
Should you be unable to attend an Association event for which you have registered and paid a substitute delegate is welcome to attend in your place, so long as the Association has been notified in writing by email to firstname.lastname@example.org and in advance of the event.
If the substitute attendee is not a member, the non-member fee will apply and extra payment will be due and payable before the event date. All registrants for any AACUHO event must have paid their event registration fees in full prior to attending an event or risk non-admission at the event.
Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for your registration is 5 business days before the event. Registration cancellations received prior to the deadline may be eligible to receive a refund less a $15 service fee.
Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.
Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.
Cancellations will be accepted in writing via e-mail to email@example.com , and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. All refund requests must be made by the attendee.
Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number.
Refunds will be credited back to the payee’s bank account.
Bank account details will be requested once cancellation has been approved.
These above policies apply to all AACUHO Events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials, such as the AACUHO Annual Conference. Please read all individual event information thoroughly.
Should exceptional circumstances for a refund exist an application can be made to the AACUHO Office for consideration by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
